@FlowersAndFoxes ..continue.. you see?? you can slash everything like crazy now!! try to slide just when the blade hit the enemy, and experiment w/ other moves or style, i just figure this out 2 weeks ago, im glad were on the same boat! just let me know if it help you

@FlowersAndFoxes hey! how do you do? just want to share. try to slide the button from x to circle, i usually practice this using rebellion sword master, try the big black scarecrow when he's knocked down, short jump near him, and slide slide slide the button, find the most comfortable timing, its not so fast so take iteasy, and im using pc i already tried this on 120 fps to 40 fps its the same timing, unless you have below than 30fps, it should be slower.

Oh and also, how do you change styles so easily while moving? It's awkward for me to move my thumb onto the d-pad from the analog stick.

totally agree with @FullmetalFox1 that's why I'm watching these videos too. To get better you know? There's always room for improvement.
at 8:34, how did you automatically go into stinger and million stab without using the Rebellion combo first?

@techn0FTW Stinger -> Hold the Melee button -> Leave control stick neutral -> Million Stab.
Also I can't really say much about changing styles. You just need to figure out a way to switch styles that is easy for you. I practice with Dante so I have gotten better at switching styles with my thumb.

I just don't understand how people become so good at this game. I freakin' love it, but I just can't do these things. I'm not TERRIBLE, but I wouldn't consider myself to be very good either.

@FullmetalFox1 I actually plan on making a video that sorta teaches you how to improve on Dante's various techniques. But if you want to improve, you have to be a bit determined.

Since you use the default controller set-up I was wondering the following; do you slide your fingers to JC the first attack of aerial rave? I can imagine that being kind of counter productive in the long run seeing as, at least to my knowledge, won't be able to slide your fingers for Gilgamesh's Full House. And I suppose it might be a tad odd to do two things then JC using that method. Then again, I am still pretty bad so, I wouldn't know.
But yes, I'd love an answer, hope to hear from you!

@FlowersAndFoxes Technically you don't need to JC the first aerial rave attack since it has a really fast cooldown time. You can immediately follow up with a lot of moves unless you are trying to do something extremely specific.
Personally I don't mind using default controls because they seem to work really well for me. I never had a problem with them so I don't see why I should change them when I'm already comfortable with them. This includes using Nero as well.
