This (imho) may be the best song the group Poco did. I love the harmonies and Timmy B does a killer job. I tried some new stuff on this and another video to see how it works, it's real rookie cinema stuff but cute. I did all the music myself, guitars, drums, keyboards etc etc to kind of fill the song out. The sequencing on the drums is off in a few spots but in the end I think it's ok, let me know what you think...I used a Yamaha keyboard and drum machine, Rickenbacker 12 string, Fender P-Bass, Martin D-45, Digitech Vocalist Live 4 and Pinnacle Studio 12.

  • Hey Norm, great version of this song (my favourite Poco tune).

(BTW , my alias is Fast McNasty).

  • @Shippingguy75 Thank you Fast, it's not near as good as Poco but then, neither am I LOL....

  • Hey, Norm....great performance. I agree completely, this is Poco's finest tune...as well as one of the prettiest songs ever written. You did it justice...Thanks for making me smile. :)

  • @gnute9, Thank you for watching. Now I need to watch the Poco video again LOL.

  • What harmony setting are you using on you Vocalist Live 4 - Sounds great.

  • I moved the Eagles 2,3 then the CSN&Y 4 part next to each other so I could just step it up as needed. I did the same in "Last Night I Had The Strangest Dream" It seems to work ok... Thanks

  • muy buen cover... muy bueno =)

  • I never figured out why it didn't do as good as it did, it equals or passes anything CSN&Y or the Beach Boys did. And the band is still rocking too.

  • I have known this song for years by tune only. I could whistle it, but had no name, no lyrics, no artist. The beautiful tune has been in my subconscious for years, and today I finally heard the original Poco creation on the radio! Now seeing it barely broke the top 100 back in 1976, it apparently never had a lot of airplay. I can only imagine I heard it at a high school dance in the late 70s or during my tenure in the Navy. At any rate, thank you for your masterful rendition!

  • Thank You..I'm trying some new things so I'll be posting some test videos (sort of) in the next few weeks. I'm still trying to get that face blur out of there..
