  • Okay I have not been on here I forever but let me clear some things up. First, my daughter is now 9 and doing fantastic, she is as close to perfect as a kid can get- seizure free for 2 years thanks to medication. Second, my daughter knows this video is on YouTube and she is fine with it. Third, the reason I posted it is because when we were researching this disease all I wanted to see was a video of someone having and absence seizure so I could compare and see if it was what my daughter was

  • This behaviour is deplorable. How you managed to embroil yourselves in an exchange of racist insults on a YouTube video about absence seizures is beyond me.

  • i have seizures to im 19 teen years old i know how it feels its a very scary moment

  • @thegrifter1 and brownyb601 I envy you! If I were studying medicine, education, or child development now, I'd feel like I was in paradise having this "living library" of behavioral videos to look through. And a big thumbs up to the people who are willing to share their stories and provide knowledge and support for others -- don't be intimidated by the comments of the ignorant and negative!

  • I had one of those when i was 8.....had none since

  • i have that to, it's not as bad as it you don't feel any pain it's like a deja vu feeling for a couple of seconds, you can't speak but it doesn't hur at all

  • I also want to say thank you. I'm a nursing student, and being able to actually see what we are reading about makes things easier to understand.

  • Poor little girl. She appears to be struggling too

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. As a medical student it's great to be able to see examples of the conditions we read about- like they say, a picture paints a thousand words, and a video like this is even better. Really glad to hear your daughter is doing so well!

  • I'm 14 and currently on deakote and it hasn't worked at all for me. I've been taking it for 3 years now.

  • @MsKTMvalley

Blame the status quo for that one.
