After decades of royal rule millions of Iranians took to the streets in a popular movement against a regime that was seen as brutal, corrupt and illegitimate. Revolutionary forces, under the leadership of Grand Ayatollah Khomeini, forced the Shah of Iran into exile. His government was overthrown and replaced by a new Islamic order. The Islamic revolution put Iran on a new path - one that brought it to war with its neighbour and ongoing conflict with the West. Anatomy of a Revolution tells this story.

@persiansoldier1 It's not a crap. it's a fact. Before you open your mouth, go, study, find the truth and then talk. USA was sending billions of dollors into the Khomeini personal bank account and helping them to remove shah. These days you have access to the technology and that makes it very easy to find the truth. such as the documents that came out to proves how much USA was sending to support Khomeini and his crapy followers.

@ironhands007 BRAVO...There is nothing else to add to these fine words...This so called documentary also undermines iranians on the basis that, at that time they Really wanted a revolution and now they Actually dont since they have not succeeded. Cause IF they did they would have another one easily...
