The motion of the debate was 'This House Believes that the Egyptian Military is Not Interested in Genuine Reform'

Speaking for the motion was Mohamed Fahmy Menza, Founding Member of Misr Al Horreya Party and Professor at AUC and Sameh Seif- Elyazal, Chairman of Al Gomhouria Center. Speaking agaisnt the motion was Heba Morayef from Human Rights Watch and Gamal Abdel Gawad Soltan, Professor of Political Science.

The motion was passed 85% to 15%.
