  • All those that say Rudd did nothing,,please let me represent you or your business on your expenses and go partying with booze and strippers in the states and bring your company into disrespute, sounds like a great job, time to resign Ruddney Rude,,Pete

  • Hmm... drinks at a strip club vs xenophobia, lies, trickery and a desire to take Australia back to the 50's.

  • Howard is not qualified to blame anyone, just because no one in US cares about Aus. Actually, Aus is just a 2nd world country, 80% of land covered by sand with only 20 million people speak wired accent. there are toooo few its own technoligies and cultures.

  • Howard is qualified to make comments on the invasion as he was a willing participant - it isn't about blame - I think that you have missed the point.

I am not sure where you are from but I don't think that we have a "wired" accent.

If you would care to do a little research on Australia I think that you will find that it is far from second world.

  • They accuse Howard of pandering to the US government yet it's Rudd and associates acting like little school girls saying "ooh don't say that it might offend them".. Fuck Labour - good on Howard for having the balls. Of course Terrorists will welcome the day the coalition forces depart from Iraq without victory.. It makes perfectly good sense.. It was an attack on a proposition not a person or political party. Get over it..

  • Howard has shown, consistently, that he is prepared to go all the way with Bush.

His attack on an American presidential candidate was not only unacceptable, it was uncharacteristic and shows that he has lost his was as the once consummate politician.

It has nothing to do with "having the balls" - the situation in Iraq was caused by the invasion. Had Howard "the balls", he would admit his mistake and seek to right the wrongs whether it involves pulling the troops out or bolstering their numbers.

  • I'm an American and can assure you Aussies that Al Queida *did* want a democrat...particularly Osama Obama...to win.Rudd makes reference to Kennedy,Truman,etc...I can also assure you Aussies that the democrat Party has changed *dramatically* since they left office, that change having begun in the mid-to-late 1960's.

  • So hows Kevin doing now?

  • rudd a pawn to the new world order!

  • ur missing the point champ, innocent ppl have been killed in iraq based on a lie, there were no weapons of mass destruction in iraq it was about oil. If you dont know this fact than you shouldnt be commenting, by all means go after al-quaida in afghanistan if you are able to defeat them and stop them from terrorising more people. . I never said dont stop terrorists, simply said dont tarnish all islamic ppl with the same brush by killing innocent ppl which is what is happening in iraq.

  • No you are wrong again. Radical Islam must be opposed everywhere it can be. . You folks in Australia think like the isolationists in the USA in the 1930's. They believed that they could "stay out of it" because they were protected by 2 oceans. You are cut from the same cloth. Even after 9/11, many Americans believe as you do. One day in the not too distant future an event will occur so cataclysmic that it will make 9/11 seem insignificant. Then fools like you will wake up. At least I hope so.

  • the war in afghanistan was neccessary at the time but now nothing has been achieved and it is a waste of time being there, the war in iraq was about false accusations concerning weapons of mass destruction, and because of that more than 5000 people have been killed which howard willingly decided to send people over there based on bullshit, the guy was an idiot and good riddance to him.

  • Buffoon is spelled with two o's. Yes this "war on terror" is both necessary and long overdue. It should have started in earnest about 25 years ago. Perhaps we shouldn't be so PC and call it what it is, "war on radical Islamism". That's what it really is & there's no getting around it. This war must be fought or it will be the end of western civilization as we know it. You are not going to set down and reason with these folks. They want a world wide jihad and they will kill as many as they can.

  • john howard was a buffon as by the sounds of it you are. If you honestly can say that this supposed "war on terror" was neccessary than you belong with the other rednecks of this world.

  • So every single Aussie loves KRudd more than John Howard? I seriously doubt that. You are getting dumber with each post. You might have said that Krudd is more popular at the moment than John Howard. That might make some sense. I'm not in a position to know the relative popularity of the two men.

  • @juscurious Well everyone here loves the KRudd more than they ever loved Coward.
