you did a good job explaining and demonstraiting your foot work. Good camera angle also. It looks like your about where I am with that technique. I consider that heel toe. what ever we call it, it works. Thanks for the video it's inspiring

I think it also has to do partially with the pedal settings as far as volume goes .. I keep my beaters pretty far back .. but also .. this isn't the end all technique or anything .. none are .. I say ... learn all and when and where they work the best.. and also what works best for your body .. too much of .. "OOOOOO this is the technique (insert name here) uses ... so that's what I HAVE to do" and it's bs .. they all learned what they do on accident just by practicing a lot.

@GaryCancer I used to play that same way but i made the switch to singles almost a year ago, maybe like 8 or 9 months ago. I stopped heel toe because when recording it doesnt get picked up as much by a mic, and live situations its very quiet. it sucks tho cuz i could go really fast and now i cant quite yet! haha but its a work for a better cause
