Toy Soldier Day 2010 Reno, Nevada Invasion!

60% of Dr. Steel's Regional Division #777: The Silver Saints of Steel desperately trying to invade the empty downtown streets of Reno, Nevada, along the Riverwalk and Downtown, enjoying the fine weather that befell us all, some music of Dr. Steel, a bit of pontification, and racial slurs being spat at us from across the street by an interracial couple joining the high-majority of people who think we're nothing but a bunch of Nazis parading through the streets. *sigh*

It's too bad that the camera stopped rolling at that point, because it luckily came to a happy conclusion with the spread of information about Dr. Steel and the mention by the afro-american telling me he'll "get the word on the street" about us. d_d;

Just in case that happens to me (I mean, getting confounded with a nazi, which is actually pretty likely since I live in Austria), how did you explain it to them?

@fenccces It was honestly pretty simple. I simply told them that we were a making a parody of fascist dictatorships. I invited them over to hear some of Dr. Steel's music, gave them a couple stickers and invited them to visit the website.

@fenccces Of course, I should mention that in Germany and other countries around that area, you might want to check your local laws, because I'm aware of some laws that specifically forbid certain activities like supporting Nazis, etc. I don't know the details, and my knowledge comes from hearsay, so yeah, definitely check it out first.

@krackannv Actually, what would've gotten us killed was the escalated situation which Shadow put us into by yelling expletives across the street at an interracial couple in broad daylight on a major city intersection, and it's that outburst that made it necessary to put myself at risk to rectify the situation. That's why I had that talk with him afterwards. If he can't control himself during those crucial PR moments, he may very well be ejected from the group.
