heh there,
I also have fine afro hair. I always have done. When I used too much heat in the past my hair looked at its thinnest. I have worn protective styles for over a year and a half and the back of my hair (which was always the slowest growing) is now much longer than the front. My hair has def responded well to a routine of a gentle wash, moisture and condition. I truly believe that those of us with thin hair really benefit from regular protein conditions and treatments. :)

I also have thin, fine natural hair. I havent really found any products that work, but I have discovered that "dry" twist outs work alot better in making my hair appear & feel fuller & thicker. So now, even when I wash my hair, I now wait for it to air dry completely, then I twist up. Makes a difference!

I have thin hair as well, which is at least partially due to genetics. I've found a routine that has helped thicken my hair. After washing, I deep condition my hair with a protein rich conditioner ( I love Organics Hair Mayonnaise) once a week. Then I moisturize with all natural products (Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and sometimes Wild Growth). I also take Nioxin Intense Therapy Vitamins. Thin hair needs a lot of TLC to help it thicken but it will never be very thick due to genetics.

yep my is the same way only my hair strands are thinner. I started using shea moisture thickening mist and mannnn that works wonders along with their other products. try that and see if it makes a difference. good luck! this natural hair journey is no joke, but I won't have it any other way. Peace and check out my amature site.....:)

@shamara112 add me in too yall mine is the same way. A dermatologist told me i had scarring alopecia which is caused by hair relaxers. Now when i do my hair, i just try to use light products so it doesnt look so thin.

It looks ok from here, however, the clarity of ur video is not clear looking. Use doo gro, it seem to work on my hair. If it's genetic, unfortunately there's nothing u can do about it but try to grow ur hair in length and figure different styles will do well with u. Hope this helped some.

`You're not alone gurl. I know you say castor oil isnt working, but you should use it longterm for best rsults. Try it in your dep conditioners- using it to seal might me too thick for your liking,=. also try peppermint oil in your deep condition to stimulate growth, alo rosemary is good for hair growth. hang in there, I also have fine hair.x

I feel your pain my sister!

Unless you burned your hair off, your hair is thin due to genetics.

my hair's the same way, looking for a remedy myself but you know what you cracked me up in this video. i dont know why but when u said ur head has the crease on the back and flat twist look ridiculous. i have never laughed so had in a long time. and never laughed at myself that way too cause it just like having someone describe my hair. but really thank you i just had a good laugh
My hair is the same way...For me,I think its genetic because my mom and sisters have thin hair and many other female relatives. Even my relatives with longer hair, have thin hair. I use castor oil, but it doesn't work. I don't think anything works.
I know what you mean when it comes to the twists. My hair is growing, but I still don't wear my twists and coils outside the house because I look a hot mess. So I either cover them up or take them down and redo them every day, which is so frustrating.

I heard that Jamaican Black Castor Oil is good for hair growth and thickness. Check out some vids and see what you find. Maybe that will help.
