my 25 week miracle baby-a look into her journey

when i was 25 weeks pregnant, i found out i was dying from pre-eclampsia HELLP syndrome and had to have an emergency c-section to try and save our lives. she was only 1 pound 6 oz(later 1 lb 4 oz) and was only 13 inches long and against all odds, was a fighter. this slide show is a tribute to the strongest little miricle i know...my daughter lilly. it celebrates her journey to 3 pounds....she was born august 11th 2009, and is now 4 pounds still in the hospital but doing great. she is my HERO. i used the song hero for backround music to sybolize how i feel. i hope you like it

thank you for all of your comments! lilly is 13 months old now and weighs 21 lbs 8 oz, and is in the 50th percentile in hight weight and head circumfrence for a 13 month old!!!! they dont even measure her by her corrected age anymore!!!! she is healthy happy little girl and she is excelling in everything she does!

@monexanni5609 thank you, she is quite the miracle. when she was born they didnt know if she would live and if she did live they said she could have significant health problems and high risk for having menal disabilities. but she beat all the odds and is a healthy 10 1/2 month old baby, cand catching much faster then the dr's anticipated. she is well over 20 pounds now and has no issues except for lung disease but it doesn't really affect her at all anymore now that shes bigger....shes my angel!

Gorgeous baby! I was doing ok til the picture holding grandmas finger lol you sure know how to make a grown man have allergies. God bless your family, kiss your little miracle for all of us. Hope you post some more.

My twin girls were also born premature 4,5 years ago. They weighed ab. 3 pounds each. I also suffered from pre-eclampsia so the girls had to be delivered. Terrible illness.

Now my daughters are happy and lively 4,5 year olds and doing perfectly!

My daughter was born at 23 weeks she was 1lb n 3oz its hard being in the NICU Natalie was there for 5 months n it was soooo hard . i didnt want ppl visiting her in the hospital i was there every single day all day while my husband was at work i use to feel like it was my time to be with her n didnt want to share or have to explain to ppl what was going on with he. shes is doing great n will be 3. we had some great Nurses.

Believe in miracles!! i was born at 25 weeks in colombia in a small hospital so if i made it back then i believe now in days babies also have a higher rate of surviving. now im 30 yrs old w no problems at all. I wld like to keep update with your beautiful baby on how she's doing. pls give us on update thks.

I absolutely love your video! My son is now 11 days old and he was born at 26 weeks and 3 days and weighed 1 pound 12 ounces. We are still not able to hold him but your story really gives me hope.

God bless you and your daughter. I too was born prematurely via C-section, but it's God's miracle that people like me, your daughter, and others are living and breathing.
