Jade Blue Eclipse at Dark Kabaret

Jade Blue is one of the most talented and inspiring artists I have ever met. It was my great pleasure to introduce her on stage during my Dark Kabaret show two years ago. Two months later she fled the country to avoid going to jail as an illegal immigrant.

Jade came to the US from Japan when she was 8. Her mother returned to Japan when Jade was 11. Jade's Aunt never filed the proper paperwork to keep Jade in the country. Jade found out for the first time that she was illegal when UC Berkely offered her a full scholarship as a violinist. During the admission process Jade was denied because she was not a citizen or even a legal resident.

Later Jade was offered a job with Cirque Du Soliel but could not accept that job due to her imigration status. The tragedy is that she can not get along in Japan either. She has a third grade education in Japan and can barely speak the language. Jade's situation is truly tragic and not of her own making.

Jade Currently lives in Australia. Her absence if felt by the artistic community here in San Francisco.

God, this video brings back sad memories. I was there in the audience, front row center. Look how amazing this video is. Jade Blue Eclipse is performing HEADLINER work without any formal direction or training---just pure, natural talent and flexibility. I was shocked to see her perform at the toilet known as Market Street Cinema and her pole dance routine was amazing (totally ignored). I bought ten lap dances just to talk to her. We shared a passion for Art Nouveau (Mucha's Women) -wink!!!

Once, perhaps TWICE in a lifetime, you collide into the space with someone with true greatness. I won't comment on her legal problems because its none of my business. I will say for someone who was untrained and self taught, Jade Blue Eclipse had remarkable talent. She was star material (right out of the box) and would have headlined Circ d'Solei hours having walked through their doors. I met her BRIEFLY as a GoGo dancer at the Plaladium & also at the toliet known as Market Street Cinema.

I sincerely hope that Jade is somewhere in the world with no extradition back to the US & still utilising her talents. History has shown that those with talent can escape federal law, and eventually be vindicated (Roman Polanski being one example)... so I hope that you let her know from me not to give up hope, that she has many friends on this earth, and that one day she will be allowed to settle (possibly back in SF) somewhere legally and in peace :)

@sabbat666 Jade's on the lam from the INS, believe it or not. Her immigration status in the US got all kinds of fucked up and, according to the INS, Jade used the SS info of deceased children - and made false documents for other people as well - according to the INS. According to a story in one of the SF weeklies, she was in Brazil a couple of years ago.

Never have I adored a person on sight as much as I did Jade. I have never forgotten her, and watching her perform always broke my heart into a million tiny pieces. I was honored to work alongside her 4 times a year when I featured at Market Street. Whereever she is, I wish her the best, and a better hand then life had previously dealt her. What a great show too, I mean the lighting and the music was perfect.

Really enthralling. I had to look up her story after this and read about it, she's had some tough breaks. I hope she finds her way through it all. She's a truly excellent performer.

I had the honor of working with Jade at MSC. I featured there and only saw her sporadically, when I would appear quarterly. She inspired me, made me fall in love, in the way that one can with someone who bearly speaks. To have found out what has become of her is heartbreaking to say the least. She will live in my heart as my modern Geisha, the one who gave all and asked nothing in return.
