And since 2000 7 million Americans have lost health care and premiums doubled. The GOP sat on their hands as this went down and now they are howling bloody murder about Obamas attempt to fix what they so chronically neglected. Its time to ram this through with 51 votes and stop pussyfooting with the likes of Snowe and weak kneed Democrats from Arkansas, Louisiana and Nebraska, nonoe of who will support the public option.

The 2000 WHO report on world health systems rated the US at 37, behind Columbia, Malta, Saudi Arabia and a number of other much smaller (and poorer) countries. France was No 1. The UK was 18. That must make all those right wing neocons who hate the French choke on their freedom fries!!

And lets not forget we are talking about the HEALTHCARE SYSTEM in the US. We arent concerned with how it affects the super wealthy, but how it affects all ppl as a whole, the entire country. Because the wealthiest of ppl have no problem paying whatever is demanded doesnt mean that this is possible for average working class americans. Its the whole system and how it serves the country as a whole that is under scrutiny, not the quality or individual procedures themselves.
