Sigh. I know Richard Marx wrote this song. But he wrote it for Vixen, and their version is the shit. I wish he had learned this lesson from John Mellancamp. Mellancamp wrote I Need A Lover for Pat Benatar, and her version is much better than his. Same thing here. If you give a song to a band with a kick-ass female vocalist, do not, for the love of God, sing it yourself.

@johncrosetto Richard married Cynthia Rhodes in 1989 and they were together for 4 years before that, so I doubt that he was dating the lead singer of Vixen at the same time....
