Hi Nick. Just wondering, how are the babies shown is this video doig today?
-
Hey- this was sourced through the interview of the medical director and he said "amongst the lowest in the world" Also the nurse constantly washed her hands with a special substance, which we didn't show in the story. When editing we cut footage all over the place. It's our fault if it appears wrong, this nurse like all nurses is just one switched on amazing health care professional- hope this clears it up
Ta and thanks

Could you please back up this statement with a reference?

Hi Nurse TV here- The NICU at the Women's is world's best practice and the nurse knew exactly what she was doing. Their infection rates are the lowest in the world, so they know what they are doing.
Thanks
Nick

Nicely done video. As a NICU nurse myself, I agree that hand hygiene and standard precautions are essential, but it is also important to recognize when precautions are necessary, as well as the importance of physical touch in the emotional/psychological development of the neonate. The broader scope of the presentation (the overview of the care of infants in NICU -esp preemies) is heartwarming and inspirational. Thank you for sharing.
