This may have some affect on the vertical out of round condition but what about a lateral wobble? Suppose you have a side to side wobble and not a vertical one?

I would say your wheel shop is not to particular about quality.
No straighten a wheel with a tire on.

@pbsucksdonkeycock I am not a shop. I just showed people you can do it yourself. The quality is there too, just needs painted afterwards if required. My wheels are only used for racing, I could not care less about what they look like. ;)

Great vid could you go into more detail on how you mounted the wheel onto the spindle?

You mount the wheel as if it was on the car... except you can only use 2 or 3 lug buts.

@gtfour77 do u really have to heat up the wheel? and do u place the jack in the center of the rim? thanks

Yes, I'd heat up the rim for easier and safer straightening (won;tc rack as easily and will keep the shape once cooled. And yes, center of the wheel .
