Skin (Luke and Mara)

Well I was finally able to track this video down (it was lost somewhere on my computer) so I thought I would post it. I know my little watermark/logo "W" is kinda of big on this video but this was made before I decided to keep it smaller so it doesn't distract from the video itself. Originally I was just going to go ahead and remake this (mainly because I hate how it's in full screen) but after watching it again I think it's fine just the way it is.

For those of you who have never seen this before it is a Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker video, from Mara's point of view. If you don't know who Mara is she is a character from the books. She was the Emperor's aid but she went good after he died and eventually she married Luke and they had a son, Ben. Her character was killed off last year by Luke's nephew Jaicen who turned to the dark side. This video is about how Mara overcame the Emperor's brainwashing and fell in love with Luke.

This video was made using clips from Star Wars episode III, V, and VI. As well as "Moulin Rouge," "The Island," and "Where the Heart is." I made this using Sony Vegas Platinum 8.0.

I haven't been reading the books lately but what with all the negativity towards the character. I'm not hating on anyone, I just want to know what happened that have so many disliking Mara Jade

@kickinblue I think its the way Luke changed after they got together. Their friendship in the beginning was good because they had great banter, they really played off one another and things were balanced. Neither one of them was the top dog. But then when they got together suddenly Mara became top dog and Luke listened to her like he was a child and she was his mother. The balance and the banter was never as good as it was in the Thrawn Trilogy. They were better off as friends instead of lovers.

@PaintHorseBelieber I don't like her either, not after the Thrawn Trilogy. But I have fans who do so I made this for them (and the idea of putting Nicole Kidman and Mark Hamill together seemed like fun lol).

I first saw this videos years ago (geez, that sounds like a long time lol) and I LOVED it. I have never read the books with Mara in them, so I don't really know much about her, but MAN this video is beautiful! And now that I finally got a youtube account, I had to tell you. :P This is gorgeous!!

I have to jump on the bandwagon as an "Anti-Mara Jade" fan. Could not stand Mara Jade from the moment I heard about her. However, your video was gorgeous.
