@stareuph You know actually this show was originally going to be called "Houston", based on the absurdly rich oil tycoons and oil families in Houston. Houston actually is the real oil town in Texas. But then the Dalls Cowboys won the Super Bowl in the late 70s and Dallas was in the media as a famous and sexy city, so the producers decided to change the name of the series to "Dallas".

Why is everything from the 80's so obviously from the 80's? The second this came up, and I saw the footage and heard the theme, it just looked and sounds "80's".
