Good speech but the fear is still there. Hiding behind the lectern is a defence mechanism. She should be out there closer to her audience who are in fact quite well spread out. moving away from the lectern is a way of claiming your space and taking control of your speaking area. She did not need to use notes so move away from the defensive walls of a large lectern and see the difference

Take my advice if your at all anxious about public speaking...Dont Agree To Do It in the first place.I regularly gave speeches till one day I had a blinding panic attack!Probably due to stresses in my life. Now I've let it be known I dont do public speaking anymore. Problem solved.

The content of this speech and the story told is excellent. I am a member of Toastmasters also, and before preparing for my Icebreaker speech, I searched on YouTube for ideas. I've used self-hypnosis before. This video served as a reminder and an example of what can be accomplished using hypnosis. Using self-hypnosis as well as other techniques, I made an overnight transformation and have been told that I "set a new standard for the icebreaker". Thanks for this excellent and inspirational video!

Good job I would like to get to know you

Hypnosis is a house-of-cards defense against the fear of public speaking, not to mention the time and money involved. She could be craving the pleasant rush of public speaking by using her built-in anti-stress-envelope. It's detailed in "Public Speaking in Comfort" the E-book. I had a hard time believing it at first but it really does work.

Excellent audio !!!!!!!!!!!!
I strongly encourage you to do it again. A negative experience becomes a failure only if you don't learn from the experience and continue on.
I know. I didn't speak in public for more than 30 years because of an incident that happened to me in high school. I joined Toastmasters 16 years ago and now I give workshops on transcending our fears of speaking in public.
Members of Toastmasters, will help support you through difficult speaking times, but it will always be positive.

Yeah, man, jesus. What kind of lesson is it that you're teaching there? You have a fear so run away from it - problem solved? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. What if you had kids or something - is that what you'd tell them?
