The first time I saw this clip I had the same feeling as many people had (what is a WW1 song doing on a WW2 video). But then i gave the meaning of the song a second thought.
The song is called the price of a mile, and that's what it's about. It's about the cost fo war. Not just WW1, though that war is taken as an example in the song, I think you can project it on every war. because the price is always the same, it's just being paid by other people

I know its about Passchendaele, I never said it isn't, all I said is the message the song has about PAsschendaele and WW1 is something you can also portray at other wars, the story about soldiers fighting and dying is not different wether you look at WW1, WW2 or the 80-year war.

@sebas379 The song is about Passchendaele and and nothing else.

To be fair, this song is more significantly about the 1st battle of the somme, at Paschendale (why it is mentioned) where British forces lost half a million men, for only 6 miles, and this works out as about 2 men per centimetre gained, and is the worst figures in British Military History, losing more men in one battle than throughout the Second World War. My reason fo posting this is that i saw no mention to the somme, but i do agree it is more widly dedicated, but focuses on the somme.

the video video is irrelevant to the song, the song speaks about WWI not WWII
