You obviously never let her get behind you and up close, the Edelweiss is paper before about 8 shots from that gun.

Imperial weapons have crappy accuracy. It really annoyed me. By the end of the regular game my scouts were practically medium range snipers on their own. Then playing as the imperials it all goes downhill.
