the race was so close and so exciting that the losing and killed horse was pretty much ignored. Horses shoudl be older??? Or kill more horses...yuck.

True, they are pushed hard at a yound age, but owners and trainers love their horses to death, like family. I can't imagine how hard it must've been for Eight Belles owners to make to decision to euthanize her.
