A "Parents Room" has been designated to bring us all TOGETHER AS ONE and the puzzle will get solved with Love, not by throwing rocks. Please let us know what we can do to help your awareness campaign. parentsroom.tumblr. com

@Rickycl985 This is what Parents for Window Blind Safety has been doing for 10 years, making the public aware. The Industry is making the public aware for 20 years. It's time for SAFER products. These public awareness campaigns have NOT reduced the death rate. It's time to change the products and make them safer for homes.

Although education is a big part of the business now a days, I'm sure the window covering industry never anticipated these issues when products were developed years & years ago. We cant just blame the industry. It's like blaming a coffee shop that they should of warned you that the coffee was hot, or the door & cabinet companies having to warn about fingers getting slammed between them, its just not anticipated initially until something happens. I know its not the same but its the same concept.

You can get roman shades now that have break away cords. Takes about 7 lbs to break them and they can be reattached.
My heart goes out to all those who have lost loved ones.

we have a black out blind for my sister... but it isnt a roman one... its a blind that rings it at the side like they have towels in a bathroom, it does the job, and is no where neer as dangerous
The Industry still has a responsibility after hundreds of children have died and been injured to change their products. Especially if there is a way to make them completely safe. If there is a way to stop children from dying on a product the Industry should make it happen.
