And, once the stack is whittled down, get a smaller storage drawer so you don't wait so long to clear it out. But, great idea for using up that amazing stash of paper.

Now this is a great challenge. I think I'll take you up on this. : )

I found this and had to say, I pulled all my paper out and have not put it away. I pulled it out to sort it. But now see an overwhelming task. I have o get to it.

wow lots of scraps, if anyone want to get rid of scraps i sure could use them :) as i don't have lots of money to spend, i love to recycle and use all kinds of bits and pieces...

If you all have piles of 'scraps' please do consider new scrappers and offering to sell what you don't need off as it saves sooo much money for us to have the variety. Also gifting teachers sure would be a kind thing, especially if they scrap. TFS the great ideas! :)

WOW to the pile of scraps!! I just started scrapping a few months ago and I have spent a small fortune trying to get all the 'necessary tools' that seem to be needed to truly get off the ground. Needless to say paper is at a minimum and to have a pile of 'scraps' would be a huge blessing. Paper is an investment in Canada and I've had to do sales and shop online to get anything really good. I'm a new teacher, started a tutoring biz to get off the ground and I can't afford to buy much.

I had scraps of paper about the size of a 18 gallon tub and just took my paper punches, embossing folders, die cuts, paper trimmer, stamps and made all sorts of embellishments the last 3-4 weeks.

is it too late to join this challenge?

hahahaha its funny how i stumbled across this today as I myself did just this earlier today!. I sorted through all my scraps bits of paper and i cut them down to size in various sizes for various uses and now my stash fits into a neat and tidy little rectangle basket. The peices i couldnt cut down into panels i have decided to use my punches and dies and that way ive always got a stash of them!. I also turn my off cuts into buttons! SOO easy! and i got the idea here of youtube! :) Ty for Sharing

Good luck with the new challenge.....you are right! I definitely have a huge pile of papers too! I won't be able to commit to your challenge, but I will keep it in mind and share if I get a chance. Looking forward to seeing what you do! TFS
You might even want to cut the scraps into various sizes that would be good for people who make cards and mini's in an array of colors and designs and sell it in bundles. When you are just getting seriously into paper crafting it can be expensive and we don't have the scraps to use for making cards or title spots or to layer behind other pieces so it would be something that would come in handy. Just a thought anyway. :)

Hi Dee,
Oh gosh....I JUST got rid of most of my scraps. I have SO MUCH stuff, I got rid of it all a couple of weeks ago. I just threw much of it out or gave it to a few friends and some teachers I know:)
It is a GREAT idea and I hope many can accept your challenge and use their stashes:)
Hugs and great idea.

@CricketsDaughter1 LOL Sherry, but I'm sure it won't be long before you're facing this problem again, :-) I like the idea of giving some to teachers. My sons teacher is a scrapper too so I don't know if she'll need my scraps, but I'm going to check and if not, I'm sure they can use some in the kindergarten room. Thanks for the great idea.
