Lets be honest. I'm 39, I was at raves right from the kick-off in '88, I did the whole story, Ibiza 89/90, then I was in the club scene from the opening night of the Eclipse in Coventry (Britains first all-night acid house club) then promoted all over the UK and released dance records right through until 1997. I had the whole journey- and every step of the way, right from that first party in a tent in a field in 1988, we were all taking whatever drugs we could get our hands on, and we loved it.

unfortunatlye, i missed out on the golden age of dance music (was born 10 years too late!). but everytime ive been out with mates clubbing ive never felt the need to take drugs, because im so into the music drugs dont matter. ppl look at u like your wierd if u refuse drugs but at least i dont look like a tit and i can last all night!

Thank u so much for yor common sense. I'm 56 now and hav been through the Soul/Disco/Funk/House/Acid & beyond genres. My passion is still House & OldSkool 84-95, but I hav never taken any drugs. The music got me (& still gets me) high enough. Glad I'm not alone.

Pioneers of House like Jesse Saunders & Adonis hated the media linkin drugs with their music all the time. xx
