I'm having PRK done on Thursday! Despite what the doc says, it looks like I won't be going back to work on Monday :( I'm in front of a computer screen all day long. Do you think that would be bad for my eyes for the first week? Will I even be able to function?

how are you doing now? I did my PRK surgery on the 13th of this month, from day 2 to day 4 I went through excruciating pain, could barely open my eyes, was extremely sensitive to lights. Day after the surgery, during the follow up I found out that the bandage contact lense was accidentally put inside out :((( and doctor replaced it. So on day 5 only left eye contact came out, had to keep the right one for 3 more days, and vision is still fluctuating, right eye is still blurry :((
It took about a week for my vision to be stable and about 3-4 for my vision to be perfect. Right now I can see 20/15. I'm about 7 months recovery and have absolutely no issues, I can see better than ever. My eyes aren't really dry, they are more sensitive to light and smoke and sometimes can be dry but not really. If they are dry I just put in some tears on an as needed basis.

Oh wow, that sounds awful. My vision was blurry for awile after the surgery, probably a week and a half. I'm currently at about the three week stage after my surgery and my vision is excellent. The vision constantly changes: somethings are crystal clear at times and some things are pretty blurry at times. My doctor told me that it takes about 3-6 months for the vision to be 100%, so it gradually gets better day by day. Good luck with your recovery, the worst part is over!
