I'm a digital retoucher that is part of the media machine that suckers women into thinking that they should look like this flawless person that does NOT exist anywhere in the world. This is my first video blog done for the The Keep It Real Challenge: Day Two by MissRepresentation.org. Trying to get magazines that focus on fashion, beauty and the female lifestyle to print ONE UNretouched image of a model per publication for the summer of 2012.

I wont bog the description down with my entire message, but here's what I have to say on my blog at royacui.com.

Let me know if YOU know about retouching in media in regards to women and stay tuned to my blog, because by telling my story I might be committing career suicide. "I don't know what happens next."

I'd love to know your opinion on using women and men who are average as models. Do you think that could have an even more positive effect? I personally have seen some change as there are BBW models out there, however I still find it appalling that even though these women are closer to the average size, they still are photoshopped beyond belief.
