@balkthor You forget that this isn't common knowledge. Also, I hate when people do that too, mostly because Family Guy is completely unoriginal, but among other things always thinking they're entirely correct and cannot be proven otherwise, but I digress.

Wow, this is the first time you've annoyed me, and it was entirely the fault of the annoying "zany" shop music along with reading all of Keapon's nauseating lines, so it wasn't really your fault at all, but damn, I hope we never re-visit this shop, ever. Just because of that, I am sure we'll see plenty more of him. :-( Also he ripped you for the rope. 12500 centimes IS 125 dinars. I hate him already.

@LateBlt Actually simoleons was the currency in the Space Quest games.

"Icarus Avoozl"? Ha!

I like the fact how the magic shop makes use of trompe loleil (sp?) for the back wall. I haven't seen that much in adventure games. Great LPs, too, btw. Keep up the spectacular work, LateBlt!

Uggh. Ultimate pet peave. No, not everything is a reference to Family Guy, South Park, other video games, or the Simpsons. Or horrible emo-rock bands.
Sometimes things are exactly what they are. "Simoleon" has existed for centuries.
Most commonly accepted theory: late 19th century macaronic blend of simon (“dollar”), from simon (“sixpence coin”) (17th-century British slang), and Napoleon (“French gold coin worth 20 francs, bearing the image of Napoleon III”).
Nice try though.

It's the music in this place that gets to me.

If I remember correctly, you mentioned that you don't get Zap in the first game since it's reserved purely for the Magic-User character. I presume you just get it for free when importing. And it's probably no coincidence that the skill rating on it is 91 as well...

Orat is the monster you kill in space quest one...by throwing water into it
Depending on when this came out, simoleons i thik is a refrence to Sim City's currency.

I think "simoleon" (or some similar word) is also a real word for money, but I'm not all up ons American slang.

The Orbs I'm fairly sure they are a reference to Manhunter another sierra game.

Ahh, that would make sense... Manhunter is another game I didn't play, so thanks for the clarification. :)
