Milan Opacich's lifetime collection of vintage tamburitza string instruments was displayed for the first time in it's entirety by the Serbian Historical Society at St. Sava's Serb Fest 2011. Hundreds viewed the exhibit of photos, artifacts, and rare instruments complete with their descriptions. Featured were The Popovich Brothers, Crljenica Brothers, Steve Barich, and opera singer Danica Chirich (Diana Henery). A "Work in Progress" showed some of the steps and tools involved in building instruments.

Please change talents "comes" to "come" through. I couldn't change it after it was posted.

Once again, the incredible talents of the people of St. Sava's Merrillville comes through! I'm constantly amazed at what wondrous displays the Historical Committee is going to come up with next! No one can beat their illustrious displays for sharing knowledge, and especially their love of being SERBIAN! Thank you to Milan and Roz Opacich, Dorothy Paunovich, Ted Erceg, and ALL who worked so hard to make this display a reality. It's AMAZING, simply amazing. Thank you from all of us! Ziveli!
