Nai Bonet, French performer, was Armenian. Dalida, who came to fame in Egypt, was Armenian. Harry

Saroyan produces great finger cymbals, as does Ziljian. Look up belly dance music, and you will find Mekjian, Baramian, Bilezikjian, Berberian, etc. So it would seem Armenians have been major contributors to raks sharki culture for at least a century, and you are the one who is out of touch.
