this clip is a weak style of slapping and yes its just that easy. Now the the clip when he is slapping in Mark King Slap Solo, is a complete differant matter all together. ;D

Once you grap it - it's pretty easy. When your thumb hits let's say the "E" top string, it is for a fraction of a second. Otherwise it will be just a thud. Best to leave the string open and prectice this in varying degrees. You'll know straight away when you've got it mate!

well he has his thumb pointing up and hits the string really quick and uses the rebound to pull away. Flea does the same thing with his thumb facing down. But if you want to know how to slap the correct normal way, watch Victor Wooten
