To ItsVictoria: Freddy died in 1991. HIV positive individuals at that time lasted, on average, about 10 years before dying. This puts Freddie's contraction of the virus at about 1981. Do you really think he had no idea whatsoever until 1987? He would have had acute HIV syndrome just 3 weeks after exposure, which would have led him to get a test at that time, since he knew others personally who had died of AIDS already, and he knew what it looked like.

@TheBirdietom Um... but the song was originally by The Lover Speaks, released in 1986, and Freddie Mercury wasn't diagnosed with HIV until 1987 so I fail to see the connection...

This song is about Freddie Mercury, his flamboyant gay lifestyle, his HIV and AIDS suffering, and his eventual resignation that he made one big mistake with it all. Its no more i love yous to his male lovers. THATS THE MEANING TO THE SONG
