Protestant Ulster Scots close the gates of derry to Catholic king James. The city endured 105 days of siege during which some 4000 people (about half the population)died. The siege is still commemorated annually by Northern Irish Protestants (Ulster Scots)

  • There's no nationality called "ulster" that's a province. Your either Irish, Northern irish or British

  • Ok let me interject in this childish conversation. I don't care bout who won this battle 400+ years ago, the Irish won the Irish war of independence. Btw, you Protestants are not "ulster" you are British/Northern Irish so everybody shut the F*** up

  • Also, the title of this video is total bullshit, 'Scots Irish'? ROFL!

    And vs 'Ulster Scots'? lmfao

The Scots aren't Irish at all and have nothing to do with the Irish, it should be

    'Irish vs Ulster Scots'.

  • @saoirse2011 You're not making any sense now, the fantasy is made up by Irish myth making pope lovers who follow Papist revision.

Scotland was never conquered, unlike Ireland that was once a dominion of England after Pope Adrian IV sold Ireland to King Henry II of England, the Irish then nearly airbrushed themselves out of existence, it's only in the 180s that the Irish re-invented themselves based on Scotland's culture and tried to latch on to the Scots as the same people ever since.

  • Better not mention the Loyal Scots that fought for King James;, fucking more fantasy from the usual sources.

  • @saoirse2011 I was born in the north-East of Scotland Angus and Tayside, so yes I am from here.

It's nothing like the Irish papist republican revisionists try to make it out to be.

  • @saoirse2011 That is quite the presumption you made there.

  • up the ulster scots, scotland for the ulster scots.I advocate the voluntary repatriation of Ulster scots to scotland.Vast estates in Scotland are still owned by english and scottish lords and lairds, this land was originally owned by the ulster scots until they were dispossessed and forced to emigrate to Ulster, they should now be reinstated on their land.
