Charlie Edson's pigeon loft was down the yard
Of a rented house in Brook Street where life was hard
But Charlie had a dream
And in 1913
Charlie bred a pigeon that made his dream come true

But Charlie never heard
He put it in a basket and sent it off to Rome

They play this song on WXPN (88.5FM) out of the University of Pennsylvania. It's usually on "Sleepy Hollow" (saturday and sunday mornings). This station is been my favorite station for about 20 years or so (1988). My favorite program is "Stars End" with Chuck Van Zyl.
