Our President's idea of hope and change don't extend to these people who are literally dying for freedom. Could he show as much concern for them as he shows to the unions in the USA? Could he show as much concern for them as he does for Acorn? I'm glad Michelle Obama is finally proud of America, because I am ashamed of this administration's pandering to these thugs in Iran's gov't while watching unarmed people die in the streets.

I think islam is evil but if anyone is being killed by their leaders and ask us for help-WE SHOULD HELP! Any other U.S.president would have tried to do something. Obama did nothing because he is against Israel and wants the leaders of Iran to destroy her. That is my opinion and I am entitled to it.

Sadly I have to agree & it appears to be the same with Israel. Obama doesn't want to meddle in Iran but tells the Jews in Judea & Samaria not to reproduce. Will he ever support those who long for freedom? My friends have mentioned how proud they are of Cyrus & how he helped the Jews return to Israel so long ago. They are proud of Xerxes & his Jewish queen Esther.The mullahs hate that heritage & destroy reminders of a past the Iranians love then replace it with hatred and savagery. Heartbreaking.

Personally I agree with you. But you cant expect morality from government officials. Morality does not exist at that level. Its for people to change, not governments.

Iranians have to spill their own blood in the coup that will free them from tyranny. They need a revolution, not a platitude from an elected officail who lives 5,000 miles away.

This is only my opinion, and I respect your stance even if i think its a pipe-dream.

Would you feel the same way were I to complain about Obama's silence regarding the Arab Muslim gov't of Sudan and their selective slaughter of Black animists, Black Christians and even Black Muslims? It isn't putting anything on his shoulders, it is expecting him to take a stand on anything besides spending our money. Since when did it become admirable for anyone to stand idly by watching real racism, real torture, misogny, murder, starvation and keep silent? I don't, do you, should he?

With regards to dhimmis, I have no idea. thats a different conversation. I think the concept of dhimmis is abhorent. They should be thankful they did not have rthe same rules applied to them in the west or they would not have been able to share in the wonderful innovations of our christian heritage.

Yet somehow the problem lands on Obama's shoulders once again. Why not pick on any of the muslim leaders of the world? Islam is more culture and ideology than religion. These are the people who need to be called on what they are doing or not doing. Not Obama, who for all intents and purposes has nothing to do with them.

Yes, and these people don't want us to fix their problems, they just want the dignity of being recognised. When you have no voice you may as well not exist. Now their voices are starting to be heard but the cost has been tremendous. My friends in the US are living in terror of what is happening to their loved ones in Iran because silence has descended. We can only imagine what is being done and if the past is an indicator the bloodshed & torture will continue. We need to be their voices.
