The Rabbit is so much more lighter than all the other cars...if you put enough power in the rabbit all the other cars have no match just because the weight difference.

I got an '83 RABBIT Cabrio(in Canada they were called Rabbits), gonna do it up old school with a pair of 45mm DCOE Webers. 2.5 inch exhaust all on a 1.8 20V, gonna be a total sleeper. I've heard this set up and it is just sweet. There's gonna be some kids in Civics get real surprised when they get their lunch stolen by a VW Cabby.

why is every one calling the rabbit/golf (or mexican caribe-wtf) a piece of shit?? dudes got a nice set up. classic euro style. it should just be called an mk1, and end that argument. the rest is power to weight ratio......with so many motor swap options available to hide under the hood, everyone should fear every mk1 as a potential sleeper. all the cry babies on here need to get a job, buy an mk1 swap some cool shit in it and shut the hell up!!!!!!! and whats up to my fellow dubbers
