  • Hey can you please tell me how Xenia spread like is there a foot that comes out and keeps walking until it splits?? Please help

  • @OZZYTYLER2008 Xenia can spread by splitting at the base or (most common method in my tank) the stalk will lengthen until part of the xenia touches another part of rock (or aquarium glass or even LPS skeleton) and it bonds to that surface. Eventually it will pull apart or stretch from the 'mother' until they separate. Xenia can also detach and allow the water flow to transport it to other parts of the tank. I have xenia in areas of my tank where no other xenia exists.

  • Hard to say for sure. In some tanks they grow like weeds and in others they struggle. I'm not sure what makes that so.
