I think George's dad had these on 78's and George like them. I read a interview about it. So George Harrison like these tracks so he did them. My Parents pick some Hoagy 78's a couple of years ago they picked these two songs also.

You're right, both of the Hoagy Carmicheal songs he does on Somewhere in England are done by Hoagy himself on To Have and Have Not. I've always wondered whether George really liked that movie and decided to cover those two songs based on the movie.

yah I saw the movie it's one of my favorite Bogart movies. I heard the Harrison version first. Also Hoagy played Baltimore Oriole in To Have To Have Not . Another track covered by Harrison for the Somewhere In England lp.

Great Harrison cover of a great Hoagy Carmicheal song. You can see Hoagy perform this himself in the movie "To Have and Have Not" directed by Howard Hawks and starring Humphrey Bpgart and Lauren Bacall.

Thanks for the chance to hear the original SIE - much better than the release which was forced on George. How dare they, anyway.
What is the difference between the 1981 release and this one? Thanx.

Thank you Landrew and TGAHFAN for watching My videos. Warner Bros rejected Lay his Head, Flying Hour- i love this song- Sat Singing and Tears of The World. So Georgie had to replace them by All Those Years Ago, That Which I Have Lost, Blood From A Clone and Teardrops.
