This is an old video of a hydrogen rocket I made around 2 years ago. The first 'rocket' I tried was nothing but a water bottle with pure hydrogen in it. It blew up sending plastic shrapnel in all directions. It was then that I decided I needed to make the 4 meter launch cord a little longer. Since then I've learned that the HHO mixture coming from the electrolysis unit needs to be diluted with an equal part of air (in terms of volume). The extra air acts as a cushion to spread out the pressure. If this were made out of something stronger like metal, it wouldn't need any extra air. I also discovered that the rockets need to have weight in them or else they will slow down dramatically once the water is expelled. The fins make the rocket gyrate, keeping it from veering off course.

Credit for the idea goes to http://www.et.byu.edu/~wheeler/benchtop/hydropyro.php

Apologies for the horrible video production. I think I win the award for worst produced video.
