I dont like it when people use the word "Emo" to describe other people. It is SO ANNOYING. There is NO SUCH THING. Just because we are hurting inside and sometimes its just too much to hide it all inside doesn't mean we're emo. I remember when I was suffering from depression, the music on the radio pissed me off cuz it was too "happy sounding" so even my music changed. Depression brings onto you a whole new lifestyle.. but that doesn't mean you'd LIKE being labeled "emo"

Me&& my bf both cut but were trying to help each other out of it . He did it more recently , but he's been doing really good .
The other day he told me that the only reason he hasn't been cutting lately is because he wrote my name in sharpie in his hand(: I tried it , it actually works (':
Suicide and self harm aren't the same thing, idiot.
You may think we cut because we want to die, but mostly it is because we desperately want to live.

@TheSpRiNkLeSmOnKeY I am aware of that. Although you seem to overlook the fact that many cases of self-harm can LEAD to people committing suicide. Maybe some do it for an adrenaline rush, or for "desperately wanting to live" but I did it because I found no joy in life except that. I had no desire for life.. I could care less. Maybe you'll think about that before trying to bash at others.

@yogurltrizz
Tests show that only 4% of people who self harm, are actually suicidal.

@FasStudio "Patients who deliberately harm themselves have a risk of suicide some 100 times greater than that of the general population." (Rethink.org)
