  • there is nothing wrong with renting. People are brain washed into owning property.

  • Or, you could invest your money (after having read the tax law for your area) and get a much higher (real) interest rate without having all your eggs in one basket (or living in you egg basket). Run the numbers.

    Don't let the mortgage broker do the math though, understand how things work and do it yourself.
