Internet Dating: Good or Bad Thing?


Okay, so obviously this is just something I did when I was bored, but I'm actually curious as to what you guys think of internet dating. By the way this has nothing to do with me, I'm just merely
doing a poll over its good and bad sides :) I'm not internet dating lol.

Okay so imagine this scenario. Girl and boy meet online, and then he asks girl out. They dont live in the same country. Will it still work?

Now imagine this scenario. Girl and boy meet online, they live in the same country just different cities. Would it work?

1. Do you think its a good or bad thing to date online?
2. Do you think its just for people who cant get lovers in the real world?
3. Do you think its okay if you have seen a picture of the person, or webcam evidence that he/she's telling the truth about who they are?
4. Would the internet relationship work over seas? (for example; guy in America, girl in UK. Would that work out?)
5. What would you do if you were asked out online?


As I say, this has nothing to do with me, and I certainly have no intentions of dating online. Danielle isnt either, before you ask. I'm just interested in everyone's thoughts about this subject.

3. no, only because people lie ALL the time about who they are. I mean pictures are pretty easy to lie about. You can just google "hot guy" and pretend that's you. Webcam is a little harder to lie about. Not sure how you can do it, but I'm sure there's a way.

Hmm yeah, all thats true. The webcam thing could be done by pointing a webcam at a streamed video of someone else on webcam, i suppose.

Um I'm not gonna answer any of the questions but I AM in an Internet realtionship and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me!! Btw 1 and 5 people are in an Internet relationship. I'm engaged and moving in with him in 9 months!!
