What did i say this? I think this laser is so cool omfg !!! i want to point green lasers at stuff for 900$ !!! YAY!!! i want to burn matches that cost money aswell!! its so cool man this is so primitive and so nice!! we all gotta waste "erhm" buy this awesome cool green thingy and spend the rest of our lives in a chair flashing with a cool green light!

Well I have answered this before but here goes again.
It is a 100mw NOVA X-Series
It has a duty cycly of 100sec on and 10sec off however I never go above 60secs and always wait at least 30secs minimum for cool down.

I have a NOVA X series and it is only 55 mw MAX. That is turned all the way up, and the limiting resistor completly removed, how did you get 100 mw? and did you use instrumentation to actually measure the output? Just curious how you got so much from a 50 to 60 mw MAX diode?

You need to research more before you reply. They are not 55mw max. You can purchase X Series ranging from 15mw to 150mw. This is a stock X-85 with a rating of 100mw peak and 91mw average.

not to be rude, but I had access to equipment that measures the power output of the laser, it was at max, and only 55 mw...BUT, it was the only one tested, so it could have been a fluke or a bad diode? I believe you, I know others that have got much more power out of their laser pointers. So I will agree, it is possible, it is just my luck to always end up with the "runt" of the bunch ;-)

I may have gave you the wrong impression. I was just saying that 55mw max does not apply to all x series. Do you know what model you have? You could have a X-50.
