Scott William Patrick, may you find that the last stop on your road is a merry one, beyond the wild clouds and stormy skies you so skillfully danced through in life, on wings cobbled together with scattered prayers and duct tape. Even as you close your eyes, I raise my glass to the bravest, toughest, savviest old brush pilot scoundrel I ever had the misfortune to lay eyes on.
So, I ask you. Strangers, friends, lads and lasses, raise a glass to my old Rosin The Beau!

I really love this song. Thanks for playing it. It has quite a history if you look it up on line.

A song that has haunted me since my youth. My grandfather played is during family gatherings and while at 1800-1840s reenactments. Beautifully done.

I learned this (sort of) in DAA but now have retuned to DAD. Trying my best to follow your fingers.... does anyone have the DAD tabs for this? Just love this style!

OK... now you've done it... I've gotta go and buy a dulcimer. Inspirational work.
( Is it just me... or do I keep hearing something like a bagpipe playing when I hear a dulcimer? There is definately a wind instrument sound along side it?)
Maybe its just the alcohol!
More tunes please!!

Love this song! Does anyone know if the tabs are posted somewhere? Preferably for DAA tuning. I've been playing a dulcimer for only a month or so. Would love to someday play with this kind of skill!
Awesome Ken - did you go skate right after that? I know I've seen that shirt somewhere...

Actually, Rachael snaked the shirt from me and took it to Michigan.

What chords are you using for the lowest notes? I'm trying to learn.
thanks in advance,

The progression for the verse is D-G-D-Bm-A and then D-G-D-A-D. The chorus is pretty much the same except for a higher G chord. I hope this helps.

Thanks dude! My treatment was a bit more simplistic than yours but, hey, I gotta start somewhere. Maybe I need some of that primal dulcimer therapy...heh, heh.
