The Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture in Duke University's Special Collections Library acquires, preserves and makes available to a large population of researchers published and unpublished materials that reflect the public and private lives of women, past and present.

The 15th Anniversary Celebration program, held Thursday, October 30, 2003, featured remarks by Laura Micham, director of the Bingham Center; Bob Byrd, Director of the Rare Book, Manuscript, and Special Collections Library; Sallie Bingham, author and feminist activist; Anne Firor Scott, W. K. Boyd Professor of History Emerita; Jean Fox O'Barr, founding director of the Duke University Women's Studies Program; and Ginny Daley, Duke's first women's history archivist.
