...Jon Anderson is a lead vocal of the group YES...Three Ships is a traditional and popular Christmas carol from England...there are different versions of this song since 18th Century...but this is the best version i've ever heard...oddly, the lyrics mention the ships sailing into Bethlehem, which is landlocked, the nearest body of water is the Dead Sea, about 20 miles away. The lyrics are a metaphor for the three wisemen, rather than actual ships....... from my vinyl collections...Merry Christmas!!!
A beautiful piece of music! I have always been a fan of YES and Jon Anderson! Much love in the New Year!

Meeery Christmas and thank you for sharing. I do like this song too, although it is not the most traditional song I know. I hope I will ever get a CD-version of this album.

Thanks for posting this!
Just a note: It's "Pray, whither sailed", not "with thee". "Whither" means "where to", and the question is answered in the next verse: "Oh they sailed into Bethlehem."
Merry Crimbletide! =:o}

This is a good version. I have though that Sting does a great version of this song as well.
