The anti-drinking TV ad was rated one of the most offensive ads in New Zealand. In it a "drunk uncle" at a party gets more and more drunk as the evening wears on. Eventually a drunken game hurts a little boy and he is flung out of the party.

Of course, the ad wouldn't be very effective if it wasn't offensive and unlike some other anti drink-drug ads, it does show a consequence that could reasonably happen in real life rather than going overboard and showing something extreme.

  • Why didnt they do somethin instead of looking at him weirdly

  • @TheReporter5000 Yes a few people including my wife have pointed that out. The guy was obviously drunk, so they should have said something. However, they all just stood around watching until wham - the kids gets it.
