WestJet Takeoff from Winnipeg

Here's a video of my first plane ride :) Be sure to watch the landing in Toronto: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbIuXrrQ0XQ. I loved the fact that we were cleared for takeoff before we got to the runway, no "position and hold" for us!

You also get to see the new terminal that is under construction, it is expected to be completed in '10.

Thanks to Capt. Neil, F/O Kirk and the great cabin crew of Flight 720 for a memorable first flight, I'll be back for more next year!

This was a Boeing 737-76N for those who are interested.

honestly every time i have been on a plane the pilots have just hit the run way and let her go full out for takeoff. Once they didnt i was going to cuba from calgary and we were on the shortest runway so they kept the brakes on while poweing up but when they let the brakes go i was thrown back in my seat by those rolls royce engines. but very ncie video xD!!

i thought you werent allowed to video tape landings and takeoffs

@JBinspiredbyJB F/A's have seen me taping and have never said anything. I think it's an old rule that applied to older aircraft, the newer planes are not adversely effected. However, wireless devices, such cellphones, are still not allowed.

Great job holding the camera still during the takeoff. I really appreciate the complete footage of the taxiing & takeoff. It's not easy to find this kind of footage :OD
