I sincerely thank you for this good neighbor help. Saved me a lot off calling around. I can get my oil changed soon without the annoying "maint reqrd" light on.Light should say->" suggest oil service"!

I had an '08 Corolla S and my process was slightly different. What I had to do instead is to simply set it to the ODO(odometer) instead of the trip, follow the same instructions with the ignition, hold the reset button while turning on, and it reset the maintenance light. I'm not sure if this applies to other '08 Corolla S cars but I hope this will help for similar cars out there.
