http://www.ted.com In this funny, casual talk from TEDx, writer Jenna McCarthy shares surprising research on how marriages (especially happy marriages) really work. One tip: Do not try to win an Oscar for best actress.
TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Featured speakers have included Al Gore on climate change, Philippe Starck on design, Jill Bolte Taylor on observing her own stroke, Nicholas Negroponte on One Laptop per Child, Jane Goodall on chimpanzees, Bill Gates on malaria and mosquitoes, Pattie Maes on the "Sixth Sense" wearable tech, and "Lost" producer JJ Abrams on the allure of mystery. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts. Closed captions and translated subtitles in a variety of languages are now available on TED.com, at http://www.ted.com/translate

My list:
1 - Be open to discussion and don't be afraid to argue (a little), but pick your hill to die on carefully; don't be a pussy.
2 - Contribute to the household on occasion without being asked first.
3 - Make deals where you both are okay with the outcome.
4 - Marry someone who knows and accepts your faults, and won't try to change you.
5 - Be honest *before* you get married. Eg my wife is fine with me surfing pr0n.
6 - Buy their tampons and carry their purse; it means you're getting laid.

men: let you wife watch lifetime movies once a week for a full day. she won't go anywhere.
women: sex up your man 1-2 times a month and talk 15% less. he'll sit tight.

In western society girls are molded starting very young to be crazy ass selfish self centered, greedy, emotional, bitches. They are fed materialism by the truck loads. They want to be worshipped, adhored and loved simply because they are female and most only want to make a vagina and titty investment into the relationship because first and foremost it makes them feel good. Ive had three wives in my life. Only one knew what that meant. She died.

Joint Income. However, you could come up with the argument of a couple that earns $50,000/year each compared to a single software developer that is making millions per year, but this would be the minority by far. Also, stay at home moms would be in the minority as well as any other case that you could think of.
