HTV West / Women Only 1978

My mate Mike, who I mentioned in the previous upload, has, over the years supplied me with well over a thousand Philips N1500 and N1700 tapes, which he's often picked up when taking delivery of the hardware - his primary interest.

This is from one of his N1700 tapes which somehow I'd overlooked until yesterday. It's a bit of gem really, well - if you're a Wales and the West fan. An afternoon in 1978, coming out of an edition of Crown Court, several interesting adverts, (including one of those curious Ronco devices) and an in-vision continuity spot featuring the great Mike Prince, who appropriately enough, presents an edition of HTV West's Women Only.

The recording of Women Only is the complete edition. Unfortunately, the recording stops immediately after the end credits, so we were denied more lovely presentation material.

I've worked out the date, but I won't spoil if for Robin.

Found it. Thursday 14th December 1978. Did you use the digitised issues of TV Times, Rory?

@RobinCarmody A mixture of that and newspaper listings. The thing that threw me was that I didn't know that Fallen Hero had in-series repeats, so I initially assumed it was late 1979 rather than '78.
